Some have claimed that the concept of "Lettuce club" is age old. They are fools. The concept is directly traced to WPIs first year, 1865 when the first Lettuce Club was formed.
The idea is simple. Find out who likes lettuce the most in a grueling and difficult challenge centered on teamwork. Every semester or term, all club members get together and try to eat a head of lettuce the fastest. The winner is crowned the President and is required to buy the next round of lettuce.
